Sweet! I can't believe I didn't run into that site!

ORIGINAL: MUSTNAGBLUES

Go to www.mustangwheelspacers.com I have the 5/8" kit and love them & they fit like a glove. Kit comes with longer studs -- no worries. JAK

I ran 1" hub centric spacers on my 00gt for 4 years, never had any problems. Perhaps you're like me and want to keep the original rims, but prefer them to be spaced out a little. IMHOit's nobig deal. I even ran mine at the track, never had any problems. I'll probaby be adding a set to my 07gt in the very near future. I prefer my stock fan blades over just about everything else out there, so spacers are the only option. I used H&R the first time and paid like $125 for a pair. The next ones will be purchased elsewhere. I've seen prices ranging from $59 to $79. You also don't have to necessarily purchase shorter studs, you can use a dremel tool or something similar to shorten your existing wheel studs. As long as you run a lug nut over the threads before you cut them, and then back the lug nut off after cutting, you'll be fine. Just make sure you purchase hub centric and not lug centric spacers.

Wheel spacers on the back wheels are OK if they are extremely high quality. But I would never use them on a performance car. Using wheel spacers on the front with stock wheels cause front end geometry problems. The front end of the Mustang is designed to have the center of the tire in a certain spot related to the turning radius of the wheel. If you move the stock wheel out with a spacer you mess up that position and increase the scrub radius. If the wheel is moved out you need a wider wheel rim to keep the center of the wheel in the same spot.

I would just be pushing out the rears a little. Considering the 5/8 kit mentioned above. I like the look of offset rear tires but am apprehensive about spending $1000 on new wheels and tires when i am happy with the ones that came with the car.

Thanks again for the comments.
