Every 3,000 miles, sometimes it stretches to 5,000. I let the dealer do it for me these days but I still put a mark on the filter so I can check that they replaced it with a new one. (Old habits die hard!)

Every 3K with Motorcraft oil and filter. I worry about the filter more than the oil. Do the same in my 2001 F-150 (96,000 miles). Only 1 person has changed the oil in them both since new at the dealership and I have stood there and watched almost every one of them. I can't buy the oil and filter and rotate the tires for $29.95, so it goes to the dealer. I get coupons for $19.95 oil changes quite often in the mail too.

change it yourself so you know's it done correctly and by someone who actually gives a crap (namely you)...keep your receipts just in case there's ever an issue. p.s. I'm doing mobil one 5w20 and mobil one filter every 3 mos/3K, and I'll duck out now because here come the "that's wasteful" posts lol...
