May I add to this sensor problem....

My car developed a problem with the ignition and was not running on all cylinders, and I could clearly tell something was very wrong. With the tune insalled no ECL or any others came on to let me know there was a problem. When I put the stock tune back in and drove around a bit, the light finally came on...

Now whats bad about this is, what if the problem wasn't as pronounced as cylinders being out and a problem goes undetected because of the tune?

I checked the codes myself, and insead of showing the missfiring, it just said both banks were lean? Weird.

So I guess I have to ask the question...Can the computer tell if anything is wrong whena tune is loaded in? If not then some sensors must be off and that is not a good thing all the time.

I hope it doesnt come here, and not just because of when I get my CAI/Tunes (Steeda for sure)... I just hate having someting else to remember to do...
I hate the driving laws.... I had a week to drive my baby before the went into effect....

Some tunes do turn off the MIL lights and reporting systems and use a set algorithim(sp)for those without cats, check with your tuner. Yup only certain counties in VA have emmissions for the most part I think it's Loudon, Fairfax, PW and Alexandria. Unsure of the others. I grew up in Hampton Roads and never even had so much as a thump check on the converters. Now I live in WV where they dont even pull the wheels off...lol Just lift it up and make sure it's all in one piece!!

I'm in NC and my car flunked inspection for O2 sensors and Cats "not ready" as well. I've lost my stock tune forever, so I'm just going to lay low and try not to attract attention (speeding tickets?) till I move to Indiana in December...
