Default JLT2 intake

I was outside cleaning the engine bay on my 07 n relized my intake is slightly resting on the upper radiator hose. anyone else have this problem.
Also im not 100% satisfied with the intake the shield for the filter dosnt really look as good as c&l. F uck it, it'll be fine till i get my procharger, but as for rubbing on the radiator hose any one notice that i may shim the heat sheild with washers so the intake gets held up higher.

I just looked at mine, there is at least 3/4" space between the intake and the upper radiator hose.

I trimed the hose about a 1/4 of an inch on the bottom by the thermastat housing to bring the hose lower and clear the piping. The shield I had to trim where it was rubbing near the brake lines.

it is close on mine, I wrapped my radiator hose with high temp wrapping so It is easier to cool the intake down between elimination rounds. the JLT II is a good intake. I gained 22 hp with it on my car

My JLTII came with a little piece of plastic tubing to put over the hose to prevent it from direct contact from the hose.

+1

Moving it up higher will just cause more rubbing on the hood, which is better than the radiator hose of course.
