Default BBK throttle body

Hey all, just wondering if the BBK throttle body for 05+ is worth the money. Im short on cash but have a little saved up and am looking for most hp for the buck. Any experience with this mod or suggestions would be great...

Thanks!!!

Hey if this is a first mod look towards the CAI and tuner. The throttle body is really not all that helpful with 2005+ mustangs in most cases. The biggest bang for the buck by far is the Cold Air Induction and Tune look at Brenspeed they have a pretty nice selection. You can find them in the sponsor section on the forum.

I already have a CAI.. tune.. and 3.73 ford gears..

anyway.. ( AFTER you have these items above )

my tuner guy tells me that with a BBK throttle body .. longtube headers and X-pipe..

I can get about 30-40 HP at the wheels.. but once you add all of these up.. add in labor ( if you can't do the Longtube's yourself ) you are looking at big $$$ IMHO..

I am just thinking about getting a S/C and getting it over with..

just my 2 cents worth...!!!

BBK TB is a good mod. I have put it on both our GTs. it makes them a lot more responsive and they work well with the cai and headers. without the flow of a cai the results may be marginal, but it was actually the first mod I made and it only takes a few minutes to install

Start with the X pipe. Then the headers. TB are pretty much worthless on these cars. They cause more problems then good.

Don't know about you but my STOCK TB is worthless and sticks so for me this mod is worthwhile

I have had no problems with the BBK TB on either of the 2 GTs we have. mine has 8,000 miles on it and my wifes has 21,000. the 30 hp gain is obtainable with long tubes, offroad x pipe and throttle body if you have a good intake as well. the TB will give you quicker response but no upper rpm hp gain without the intake. As for the problems people are having what are the symptoms? ours have been flawless and I would definately reccomend them from my personal experience. I take it to the track weekly and it is very consistant and cut extremely good lights with it now that I am use to it. I hope my experience with them continues to be a good one.

So some are saying that they are more hassle then they're worth and others that they are good after cai and tune/ exhaust???
