Have you talked to justin about this....i am suprised because I have a VMP tune and have not had any problems with lag or hanging revs really....None of the tunes, B ama, Brendspeed or VMP have actually. You might just be expecting something that isnt going to happen with this car, the drive-by-wire cant be totally fixed to be like an actual wire but to me its pretty damn close.

I can tell a difference with the tb or I wouldnt have spent the cash on the second one. As far as the deceleration, the computer is tuned to not allow the throttle blades to slam shut upon letting off of the throttleand come to an idle slower. There is definately a quicker response with the bbk.we take both our cars to the strip andthe quicker response allows the converter to flash higher giving better 60' times and the additional flow on the top end helps as well.I have never had a stumble or anything with mine and consistantly cut as good of lights as the super pro guys running electronics. so far I have heard opinions of problems, but havent heard what any of the problems are. more than likely if there is a problem it is not the tb but a tune problem or maybe a tps sensor or something. as long as you check the tb for binding before it is installed I dont see what the problem could be that people are having

part of the lag that you are feeling may just be expecting it to pull harder at a lower rpm. there just isnt enough cubic inches to have the low end torque off of idle like some of the other cars, but when they start to wind up they run so sweet. mine doesnt really start pulling hard till about 3500

OK problems with TBs have been discussed many times, look at the tech thread. I will agree that many are with the GMS and the BBK has seemed to avoid most of those problems. Look at it from this standpoint...the BBK says 8 HP gain and we all know how there are claims of mods giving you more HP but not getting those claims....Corsa is a good example....nobody I know reports 12 HP gains, hell even the stingers are suppose to give you some.

@ 300 for the TB and even if you do get 8 HP that is about $37 a HP. Not the best ratio when you have plenty of mods that are under $20/hp (pullies, delete plates). If you have dont those already then a TB might be something to look at...CAI/tune should also be done first also.

I'm not claiming by any means that the tb is the best hp per $ spent, only that I did receive a gain from it and have had no problems. I also think you are correct on the cai and tune first, but if he is having problems with his tb then I would go ahead and get the tb. I have most other mods and I try to squeeze every pony out of mine. I dont street race but my car sees the track nearly every weekend so I see the results on the dyno and at the track. we put the jltII intake, bbk tb and ud pullies on her car at the same time and went from running 13.90 to 13.50 and she has even done one 13.42 but consistantly will run a 13.50 to 13.52. her car has not been on a dyno yet, but I tuned it according to how i had mine tuned with the same mods.

Cold air intake and tuner you could seriously feel the power gain.

The TB wont help much by itself but with better flowing exhaust and better air intake I think it will help and this week ill find out when I install mine.

I have the bbk also but I did the cold air and tune first and yes it is worth the money if you have the other mods done with it
