Footwell courtesy lights installed
For anyone considering putting courtesy lights in the footwells it's a fairly simple job.I did this in a few hours. You just tap into the wires behind the passenger A-pillar.These wires are the upper console light wires.I used some dual wire sockets from Advance auto. With wire etc. about $12.00.Just picked a spot on each side under the dash and mounted them. You DO NOT use the housing as a ground. The sockets come with mounting plates.Just mount them to anything that will work and have sufficient clearance.A neat upgrade.Seem's Ford can't afford such luxuries on the new ponies! Looks good Those are the UPR pedals aren't they?
A few questions for ya:
- How do they install? You have to drill out your pedals for the mounting screws right?
- Which dead pedal is that? The UPR kit doesn't come with a dead pedal if I remember right.

Francis, yes they are UPR pedals. You do have to drill starter holes for self tapping screws that come with the pedals. It's a little tough getting up in there and center punching the pedals. The dead pedal came from hillbank motorsports? That may or may not be the correct name. There are many other billet manufacturers that offer dead pedals.Check with Dynamicracing products. He always has stuff on Ebay.

Good Job. I can't believe Ford is skimping on little things like this.I also added a trunk release button in the glove compartment and will be instaling a hood light next weekend.
I thought the foot well lights were necessary also, so I installed them earlier this year. Here's a set of instructions I wrote up.

I have instructions for other mods at this link:

No..... these aren't for everybody........my 70' SCJ Mach 1 had these and they were nice. The door panels had nice lights too. When you stepped up and bought the top of the line in a particular model you got things like that(light group). You'd think buying a "GT" we'd get extra's.Odiaz ,I remembered your write-up,thanks.Legend GT
