I just put chrome wheels on 3 weeks ago and I want to know what kind of polish/wax protection do I need to put on them? Also, can it be applied by hand?

 

Should be able to use what you put on the rest of your car. I would also wipe them off with detail spray when you do your regular washing.

 

I use Blue Magic wheel cream, works just as well as the more pricier brand for a reasonable cost. Pictures don't do them justice

Mothers Billet Metal Polish. Its ok to do it by hand, but youll get slightly better results with the powerball.

Meguiars All Metal Polish works very well too.

 

I used this meguiars all metal polish stuff, it comes in a black can and its like a pink polish works great.
But anytime you wax your car , if the wax is safe to use on wheels just slap it on there. Id put a good wax on there and put a couple layers of sealent just to lock in the shine and protect them .
