Stay out of the waterbox unless you have slicks. Water will stay in the treads of your street tires when you are staging.Once you doa light burner to scrape off the pebbles etc from your tires, you will pull up to the lane.Inch forward until you have lit both sets of staging bulbs.

Hold down the brakesfirmly with the left foot. Add throttle with the right foot, until you are at 1800-2000 RPMs. As soon as the tree hits the second set of amber bulbs, release the brake and floor it.

If you wait until the third amber bulb, you will have a slow reaction time.

+1 on the power braking. Reaction time does not count against your ET, it only comes into
play if you're bracket racing. Also, turn off TCS and leave it in D.

I also turn O/D off and do everything else that Z Killer said. I ran a 13.3 with CAI, Tune and O/R H doing all of that. And I put 20psi in my rear streets. Good Luck.

gets rid of your catalytic converters so you get more power and also so you have a better deeper louder sound.
