I bought mine from a forum member who used it once and then said he unlocked it before sale. Does that mean it can be used like it was brand new? Meaning the 3 tunes are there and it will read my pcm and I'm good to go? Thanks.

YOUR car!

I loaded the 93 tune last night but the car was super sluggish until the RPM hit about 3k and then it revved very fast. I put the stock tune back in and I had my low RPM power back and everything was great. I called brenspeed and they emailed me a new config file. I downloaded the SCT software but after a bunch of messing around I discovered that the USB cable that came with the SCT was bad. Found a good USB cable and loaded the new config only to find out that now the SCT tuner thinks it has already loaded the config in my carand only gives a return to stock option. I’m beginning to wonder if all the time I’m burning on this project is worth the effort.

i think you'll be ok.....

according to you, you returned the car to stock, that's
the most important part here.

the tuner may need to be reloaded, but i would keep it
away from the car until you get the bugs worked out

Before the tuner sent you the new tune was the car set to stoc or the 93 octane?

Trust me it's worth the effort and not a big deal once you have it figured out.

Yes, it loaded the config back to stock last night and the tuner verified as load complete. Something apparently happened to the tuner when I loaded the emailed config file although it showed load complete too. Sounds like I may need to send the tuner back to brenspeed to get it reloaded.
