Before the tuner sent you the new tune was the car set to stoc or the 93 octane?
Trust me it's worth the effort and not a big deal once you have it figured out.

I was just wondering if it just thought the file was already loaded because you hadn't set it back to stock (still had a performance tune in it). Guess thats not it. Perhaps a quick trip back to Brenspeed may be the answer.

[sm=exactly.gif] that's what i would do
worst case scenario if you don't do that, is you
disable your car completely and have to have it
towed to a dealership for a pcm flash
use your own good judgement on how to proceed

Sometimes when tunes are loaded it takes the computer a "break in" period to re-learn all of the new things the fresh tune has changed. Make sure it returned to stock and ask Brenspeed about this (their tune will probably be better anyway). Check the part # on the box or tuner and go to SCT and confirm you have the correct tuner. I purchased one (trying to save a buck) on EBAY a few years back from a girl who got a supercharger kit with an SCT tuner. She had it customed tuned after the S/C install and did not need the tuner. Well the tuner that came with the kit had 3 tunes for different superchargers and no NA tunes. SCT told me I was S.O.L. and I had return it. Very long frustrating story. . .
So, go to SCT's websiteand check thepart number. Or don't be cheap and but an intake/tuner kit and be happy.
Good luck and you WILL enjoy your car more when it is retuned.

Sorry I've been away from the computer...So your telling me that even though it was returned to stock, I shouldn't upload it into my car because it might not start? I will be doing this on Friday when I get home but don't want a dead car when I'm done. Or should I go to SCT and check the # on the back of my programmer first to see if it is good to go. Thanks.
