basically the problem isthat his car is running on four cylinders. turns out it may have been a bad sensor.

also, ive been told the computer reads the car vin, and that's another reason the swap wouldnt work.

The vin match is just going to turn other module lights on. But it will still start. HAve you pulled any codes from it?

was giving a p0016 and an obd2 readiness code. sensor is being replaced, apparently it may have been fractured. we shall see.
