Unfortunatly i dont have the stock dummy oil pressure gauge or an aftermarket one. So i guess the only way to tell is if i get a check engine light?
the CEL is really for emissions sensor failures and the like. I don't think it would come on for lack of oil pressure. So park the car until you get a new oil pan, and inspect the oil pickup while it's off. You might as well get it towed/rollbacked to a shop if you're paying a wrench; no sense risking damage for the price of a tow...

The question is not only where the oil pickup is, but where the oil is when the car is accelerating, braking, or turning, Inertia makes the oil pile up on the side of the sump, and a long enough turn or acceleration could starve the pump even if the pickup were to be submerged in steady-state, flat ground use. A long freeway cloverleaf at high RPMs could mean trouble. Probably ought to get it fixed, soonest.

I didn't discover the concave bottom of an oil pan for a year, while I drove one car daily. Of course, it was a Morris Minor 1000 woody wagon, and it didn't generate a lot of Gs in any mode of travel.

ok well hopefully i didnt damage anything for the short amount of time i drove it. I just ordered a new pan and gasket so ill give it a go once it gets here. I have the ford service manual and im pretty good with tools so i think i can figuire it out. If not off to the shop. But to put me in a better mood I think im going to get some new motor mounts and then i can jack up the motor without worrying about bending the pan

put a 2x4 or 4x4 between the jack and the motor...hopefully your oil pickup survived, but no sense risking any further complications...

Maybe you should order a BMR tubular K member cause you are probably going to have to lift the engine with a hoist & remove the K member to drop the pan.

Is it safe to jack the car up on the K-member?

That sucks man. I agree, wouldn't drive it until I replaced it.
