Doug just emailed me a new tune - I'll try it this weekend. Overall, pretty quick response (3 days or so). Feels like about 2 weeks when your anxious to get your newly tuned baby on the road. Got a little nervous when the voice box was full. Lesson learned. And fingers crossed for all zing, no ping.

hey man, i think i know what ur problem may be. i got my car tuned recently, and i had some slight pinging recently when i used discount gas. got 93 octane, but was prolly watered down or something. try high quality fuel (mobil, chevron, etc..)

Ran mt 07 gt on dyno before doing mods to get a base line.We found the total timing to be 38 degress.Way to much.We pulled out 4 degress and installed the 91 tune.A/f was good and no pinging.

All cars ping sometimes and some under heavy acceleration and that is confirmedin the manual too. Let the car run a few tank fulls and see if your ECM makes the necessary adjustment. Personally I use to worry about that until I solved my problem by experimenting with the weather and the tunes. In the summer I run the 91 tune with 93 octane. In the winter 93 octane with 93 octane. Hell you could just have bad gas. For god's sake do not add octane boosters because it will gunk up your throttle body and you will get a check engine light P0506. I know this I had it. Try what I said if that doesn't work try taking out some timing which means use your tuner and take out spark. Or you could run 93 octane with the 87 tune. Let's us know what happens.
