Default Help with Adaptive Learning Trick..

I have an 06GT. All stock... bone stock...

Bought it new. Had it a year. Do you think the adaptive learning trick will work for me?

When I do it... can I just disconnect the battery cables (pos/neg)? Leave them unplugged for 20 min and thats how you do it?

Also.. do I do the throddle trick with the key and gas before or after I do this and how long do I need to wait?
Also do I need to do both?

One more thing.. how often should I do this?
Thanks!

I've never done this but here is the technique I read on MF. I don't recall who posted this.

quote:

Someone just wrote about a way to "fix" throttle lag. Has to do with:

Ignition on, engine not.

Depress throttle on about a three second stroke to full throttle.
Release throttle with about a three second release.
Wait a tad.
Shut off car.

Redo. Maybe three times.

Works for me too. I do this any time I change the tune, or feel the car getting a bit doggy.... How ever, when I do it, after depressing the throttle in a smooth motion, I let off the throttle abruptly, not over the course of three seconds.... don't really know if it matters....

ive tried that throttle thing and i believe it is all in your head... something someone made up to laugh while everyone does it and claims it works... i disconnected my cpu last night, and that make sthe car feel better... im just gonna disconnect the battery every week and forget the gas pedal trick...

Luckily I keep my feathers numbered for just such an occasion.

Questions...
1. So just disconnect the battery cables for 20 min or so correct???
2. This works even though I'm completely stock?
