that van thing?? lol i keep forgetting to get the number
i went to go ask them about moleskin and whatnot today but the tint guy wasnt there. 301 berlin trnpk
the number is (860)829-1555 or (860)828-3334. they use madico window film. sheets (for the back window) are 149$ and a one piece is 189$. other than that (the back window), they do the 2 door windows and the b/c pillar windows.

this is where im getting mine done as soon as i get my moleskin in (unless they say theyll replace it if it scratches).
oh yeah, i was there too, the guy was there, in the backroom, sleeping, lol i walked in and was lookin for a bell or something to ring, but nothing so i walked back there and there he was sleeping on the couch so i guess i'll have to call him tomorrow
lol, let me know what they say as i want to get mine done rather soon. did you do your moleskin yet?

I live in Germany. When I got my Explorer done (back 5 windows), I paid 300 Euros. With todays exchange rate, that's over $400. Don't get me wrong, the guy did good work, but DAMN! I just got my Mustang, and I'm wondering what he's going to charge me for that.

I paid $200 for all five windows and a lifetime warrantee against peeling, bubbling, or turning color. It was a fair deal to me.

Default RE: Window tint

Just wanted to post one up here, I posted in another thread under moleskin but i though here under the tint thread would be good also. There is craft store grade Moleskin and Commercial grade moleskin with High temp, high stick adhesive on it. I work at Florida's oldest tint shop, been owned by the same person, under the same name, since 1970!! I instaall Moleskin all the time at the shop. Mustangs will scratch the glass without tint even on it and without a moleskin installed. Ford put too hard of plastic sweepers on the doors and they scratch. I sell moleskin kits with pictured instructions on Ebay cheaper than anyone with FREE shipping ($17.50 shipped!!) and it is High temp commercial grade moleskin. Just do a search for seller moleskinman on Ebay and look in my store. They ship out Priority mail so you will get the kit in 2-4 days depending on USPS. Thanks for letting me take your time to explain.

Also, as for tint quality:

Cheap, Dyed film (Carbon included) will turn Purple in a year or so. We don't sell the stuff, Walmart does. $100-$120 Mustang
High Performance film usually has some metal in it to hold the color stable. Still black looking. $120-$140
The higher end films are 100% metal, are a little shiney, but stop alot more heat and IR Light. $150-$170
Ceramic film (Huper Optik) made in Germany, best on the market Highest heat rejection (63%) with only 30%vlt $250-$300
These are Florida area pricing all with Lifetime warranty.
