need advice on potential purchase
I'm a nubie as far as Mustangs go (I've owned mainly BMWs) and I am interested in picking up a used GT convertible as a summer only toy. I've been looking around for quite some time and 5-sp manual vertsare very rare around here (new or used). I checked out a car only a few miles from me - it is a 2005 GT vert (5-sp manual) loaded with Shaker 1000 system, upgraded wheels, some appearance things, soft boot for the top, etc. It has 6800 miles and I've driven it and it looks and drives like new - not a single blemish, scratch, wear mark inside or out. It still has about 1 year left on the warantee.
The only issue is the color - it is "windveil blue" with a grey interior. The colors together look nice but this blue is not my first or second choice though Isuppose I couldgrow to like it. I'm not planning on keeping the car for more than 2-3 years so I also want to make sure I can re-sell it and that the color won't put people off.
He is asking 26,300 but I was thinking that I should offer $25,000.
Any opimions? The price reasonable? Should I just wait for my favorite color (red with beige interior)?

The Blue looks nice... look at it this way... if you purchased a 2007 w/ the same features (GT / convert / upgraded wheels / shaker 1000) you would pay between $34 and $35k... so you are saving a cool 10 g's and only picking up 6800 miles.
And trust me, while not my fav color... the Blue still looks hot

That asking price is very fair - especially since like you said the 5-spdGTvertsare hard to find and that car has VERY low miles. Windveil Blue is nice and you can add stripes to perk it up.

$25K is a big chunk of change for something that you will not be 100% satisfied with ... if color is important to you ( I know it is to me) ... just wait until the right one comes around ..
