Default Hello (I.E. Another "Yay Me!" thread)

Hello everyone, been lurking around here for awhile and now that I have my newest car, I finally decided to post - these forums are full of great information.

Anyway, when I turned 16 (15 years ago) I got a little Honda Civic, kept trading in for another Civic - they seemed like great, reliable cars. (I was not a ricer, just drove a plain civic).

Well, 8 months ago a co-worker of mine had his Ford F350 truck in for service and they gave him a Mustang V6 coupe as a loaner. He let me take it for a spin, and a week later I got a great deal on a used 06 V6. I was mighty happy.

Then, a week ago it was in the shop because of a problem with the rear differential. So while it was being repaired I decided to take a GT for a spin. I wanted to feel for myself what all of you are always saying. I never saw that V6 again - once I got behind the wheel I knew I had to have the GT.

I got an amazing deal (I think). Sticker was a tad over 30,000. I got it for invoice (26 and change) and I kept the 1500 rebate. So I ended up getting it for 1500 under invoice. With my trade at 18,500 I got it for a little over 8k and couldn't be happier.

Got the 2007 Mustang GT Premium, Tungsten Grey, Leather Interior (Parchment), Shaker 500, Side Airbags and the LoJack with Early Warning.

No, not yet. To get a good deal I had to take delivery from stock - and they didn't have the color / interior that I wanted on any other car. But that can always be upgraded later. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Don't get 3.55s, get 3.73s. Best overall compromise between performance and mileage IMO.

Best advice I have seen all day! 3:73s on the 3V engine work great....

I'm pretty sure the next few months Search will be my best friend around here. I know I want to mod this thing, but this is the first car I actually care about - so I'll have to research what the heck everything is. Can't wait to get started.

Thanks for the tip.
