^^^
1. If I had a shiny new auto I'd go with 3.73 gears, some drag radials, rear upper/lower control arms and a CAI/tuner combo from b*a*m*a* chips...should be good for high twelves with good conditions and driving. JMO...

2. Most people consider the Roush to be a **** for the dough, the warranty is included in the price and you can get a much better setup for less $$$...

Can you drive on the street with drag radials, or do you just have a second set of them and you change 'em out before you go to the track? This is going to be my DD, so I have to keep that under consideration. I also only expect to go to the track a few times in a year, is it still worth getting those for that?

Thanks for all tips

^^^ drag radials are DOT approved and have (some) tread on them...that being said, they could get hairy in the elements and of course snow would be a big no-no. When I ordered my drag radials I also got some takeoff wheels so I could swap back and forth as needed but honestly haven't mounted up my factory pirellis since I got the DRs. I guess if you're not a track junkie the nittos would work okay on the street, they grip ok (night and day difference over the street tires) and the harder compound means you'll get some decent life out of them. I on the other hand am hitting the track every chance I get till I give this car the 12 second timeslip it deserves, so Iordered the easily-warmed up, soft compound (so not much life) mickeys...
p.s. if you're on the fence then brenspeed sells 17" takeoffs for $220/pr (I think)...just keep in mind the tire psi sensors aren't included so you'll have to buy those also or just keep hitting RESET on your info center like I do lol...

^^^ lol I wish I didn't...after all I have a tire psi gauge...hitting that reset button everytime I start the car up is annoying, and I'm too lazy to swap the DRs over to the other rims and too cheap to spend big $$ on two new sensors lol...

I have a coworker who just trades in the Camry every 3 for a new one. Could you convince him that change is good?

Enjoy that new GT!

^^^ lol if he got a mustang he might rediscover that he is alive, he has a pulse and there is in fact blood pumping through his veins...my car history is as such: three cars ago was a 90 GT, then a 93 Z28, then an 02 Civic LX sedan...and I consider those 5 years in the civic a total waste, lifeless, no excitement etc...oh well water over the dam right?
