RE: Dealer Called Me...
All Grins! Let me say I don't buy a new car often. My '89 GMC S15 with 144k miles and my '78 BMW 320i (very modified, very nice) with 257k miles tell me so. Life has trown me some pretty severe curve *****, decided I WANT a new car, and the GMC is going to be here awhile longer.
I hated the salesman, sales manager BS when I got the GMC. I am a AAA, California Automobile Association member. Got it for support for my wife who used to drive 40 miles each way to work. SO, turns out with AAA they have a "guy" at dealerships, and the "deal" is no arm twisting salesman, sales manager stuff. I walked in, talked to the guy for about 15 minutes, maybe 20 and walked out with an order having been made. His price was the same as on fordveichles.com.
Dealer was Frontier Ford.
PS. I'm a firm believer in Red Line Synthetics and "Tufoil" (www.tufoil.com) Talked to Red Line already. I said I love their 20-50 weight. He said Mustang wants 5w-20 and a higher viscosity will make the Mustang's computer unhappy. No kidding.

RE: Dealer Called Me...
Al,
Nice....I ended up going to Peninsula Ford in Menlo Park--they had a GT on the lot that someone had decided not to take. (This after spending 3 hours in Sunnyvale haggling over the price of a trade in, and then being presented with a contract showing the new car at $6K over MSRP...needless to say, I walked out).
I talked to Frontier Ford a few weeks before I bought, and after telling them to call me when they got a GT on the lot, they never called me back. However, they called me about a week ago asking if I was still interested in the V6.
Regardless, good luck. I am the white GT, without a spoiler, usually driving way too fast down San Tomas, 101, or Stevens Creek. Hope to see you out there soon!

RE: Dealer Called Me...
Lets "Hook Up" sometime, where we can safely park a Screaming Yellow and Performance (that's what they call it?) White together, safely, I can't abide by door dings etc. and grab a bite. Where?
