our window tint issue... is this Mustang specific or do all newer ford cars have this issue? My wife just bought an 07 fusion last night and I would like to tint her windows... Ill do the moleskin first if necesary... It only takes 20 minutes to install... Any info would be appreciated

 

My 2007 Ford Focus does not need moleskin for tinting to be done. Not that that helps you much [8D]

 

I have never had a car without the felt that stops the scratching on tint. My '05 Expedition is fine, it's odd that the Mustang doesn't have the felt. I would think that all Ford vehicles would be consistant.

 

yeah... i dont think it will be an issue... its just she lives in california, i live in texas... i am going home next week for a week to see her... if it does need moleskin, nows the time to order it and i can put it ont when i get there... otherwise i wont be in cali until christmas time... I dont think she will need it... but hopefully someone on here can answer for sure... I asked ona fusion forum, but i dont think other car forums are as active as this one... We are sorta addicted to our cars...

 

I don't know about other fords, but other cars have similar problems with tint scratching.
