Mis-badging is really the only form of "posing" imo.
But even there are some cases where it is acceptable. Like if you were making a tribute to an older version of a car that is no longer available and using the old style badges/paint scheme/striping.
If you like the front end of a GT500 better than any other aftermarket bumper and you're lookin for a facelift, go for it. Just be prepared for the idiots who will call you a poser before even asking you why you have a gt500 bumper. The only people who should care about whether you are a gt500 or just a v6 with new bumpers should be able to tell the differences (ie, popping the hood).

do whatever the hell you want to your stang. its YOUR CAR. you don't have to live up to anyone's expectations or tastes as far as modding it goes.
but in my opinion, just dont badge your car to claim its something that its not. your just setting yourself up to lose bigtime (race).

What about everyone that has a replica Cobra roadster? As long as they acknowledge and advertise it as a replica, no harm, no foul IMO. Same for the GT500 "look", in fact I have seen spy photos of the upcoming '09 Mustang, and it's much more GT500-like(up front)than the current car. "Wear what you dig"(as saidby Luis Guzman to Don Cheadle in Boogie Nights)

well my car is no where near a cobra, my gt is stock. if i had the money to buy a gt500 trust me i would have. but i mean when someone sees a cobra they go[sm=jawdrop.gif] plus its gonna cost less to make it look and performe as one, then to buy one brand new
