I realize HP will be above 700.... But remember, a 1/4 mile is not long enough to fully use up 725hp. Remember that horsepower usage vs speed gain drops off tremendously as the speed increases. Yes it has 725hp, but that last 350hp will only result in about +45mph top speed over a 350hp slightly modified Mustang GT. Hard to believe eh? Its true. The supersnake will probably top out at 200mph, give or take 10mph.

Remember the test on the Bugatti Veyron? Its 1000hp. It took 300HP to reach 150mph. It took a the whopping final 700 HP to bump up the speed just 100 more mph.

Whats my point? My point is as the HP increases the gains decrease. Not only will the supersnake only gain about 45-50 top speed HP, but it will not show it in the 1/4 mile as it will not nearly come close to its full potentional.

Theoretically... A high hp car will need extremely short gears to truly storm through the 1/4 mile and showoff its HP. This is why dragsters and purpose built cars, with really short gears, kill in the 1/4 mile. A street car with regular gears and high HP may have a faster top speed and faster acceleration but WILL NOT kill at the 1/4 mile and will not use nearly close to all of its power, and will not get into the 9s, and not even the low 10s, and even into the 10s would be stretching it.

To conclude..... It will be one hell of a car but don't expect stats to tell you that!

My car ran 11.6 to 12 when I had the pulley swap, CAI, tune and exhaust. I had 645HP at the crank so I don't think you will see anything less than 11 on the KR but who knows!

It will give an *** whopping to a Z06 and that's to most important thing.

Oh BTW, the KR will have the stock GT500 block....

I was wondering if anyone had a link to a creditable source for 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times for the new Super Snake? I am just really curious what the 725hp off the floor Snake can do. I have searched google for the last month, and I can find videos and pictures and blogs and such, but no numbers. Anyone?

Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing...I'm guessing 0-60 just under 4 sec. 1/4 mi in the high 9's (with the rightrubber)
If you check out Evolution Performance's modded GT500 you'll see thatitbroke 10while putting down 664 rwhp (w/ some serious drag tires). Where would the SS be rw at 725 flywheel??? A stock GT500 runs 0-60 in4.5 sec. I would say that adding 225 more horses would put itjust under 4 sec. from 0-60...

I highly doubt you will see this car break into the 11's off the showroom floor.

Basically because they are not going to sell the car with slicks or DR's on it, and theres no way 725 hp is going to be put to the ground on street tires.

With a slick it will most likely be somewhere in the 11's, def. not 10's. Im sure it will be VERY simple to get it in the 10's, but it isntgoing to happen from the factory.

This guy is a jackass. This is the second thread he's started with "You, my sir, are an idiot." and both times he's been dead wrong. Not to mention, in that other thread, didn't you claim to drive an '06 GT?
