Got my 2005 GT mustang one month ago. Since week #1 I hear a popping noise (or a clunk) fron either four corners of the car when I turn at slow speeds, like leaving the parking lot, slow manouevers etc.
My dealer had no idea what it could be....
On another forum I read that others have had the same proble, suppposedly it has to do with the suspension coils or the struts.
Anyone out there know what I am talking about? What action needs to be taken? Any recall planned?

front strut bearings. i have had both of mine replaced. have the dealer also check the sway bar link pin.

I have that problem now. its so anoying. what exactly is it. I know its in the stearing in the front and not the rear end.

No problem yet, but only at 500 miles. I usually don't buy a first model year car. There are usually several things to work out. This seems to be the first item mentioned, so time will tell how many cars have the issue. Good luck with your repair, and thanks for posting.

the problem is the struts do not correctly fit into the bearings. I don't know if they are installed wrong or if there is a bad batch, but that is the problem. have the dealer fix it.
