Default Rotating Tires

Quick question...I'd like to rotate my tires by myself today instead of having to take it to the dealership. I'm at about 10,000 miles and I figured it wouldn't hurt.

I believe the manual says to move back to front and criss-cross the fronts on the way back. Can anyone tell me if I can just swap the front and back without crossing them? It'd save me a lot of jack work.

FYI...stock Pirelli's.

Thanks!

The reason you do the criss-cross is for wear patterns and to get more wear out of the tires...

If you're really worried about it, take the car in to Discount Tire and have them rotate it for you. They'll do it for free.

For radial tires, front to back without cris-cross is fine.

+1 That is what I do w/ my tires (my rear tires seems to be wearing out faster than the fronts, can't figure out why...

Are these radials?

just take it to discount tire.. ITS FREEE!!!!!.. along with some other places..

trust me on this one.. just take it somewhere that does it free.. they will look at how your tread is wearing, and then will determine if they feel that you need to cross roto them or straight..

your going to be out there for an hr.. in the heat and blah blah.. when you could wait all of 15 mins.. (thats including a wait period) if they pull you right in.. your lookin at 2 mins and 30 seconds.. tops.. or atleast that what our goal is at Discoutn Tire..

anyhting else.. just PM.. (i work at discount tire)
