Our kit is really not that difficult. It installs in just under an hour start to finish and comes complete with instructions and everything you need, all in one box ready to install. Even if you get the parts somewhere else (your local parts house and electrical shop) with a little bit of mechanical know how, figuring and patience you can put it all together. A lot less time that some of these other less stock looking approaches that I read here. It will cost a little more than getting standard lights at a parts store, like what was suggested, but it will look more stock (I think and that was our goal).

The problem most people are having is like I said in my previous post, either they are talking to Ford dealers that tell them it isn't possible or they are buying parts and not taking the time to figure it out. On my first run at removing and installing the grille, BEFORE, I had made instructions or anything else, even before I pulled the tools out of my box, I am talking before I even looked at the car, I removed the old grille, figured out what needed to be done and had the new grille installed in less that twenty minutes (just to make sure it would work, not the wiring harness portion, that took another twenty minutes once we had the harness made) and I am certainly not the most mechanically inclined person there ever was. An Engineer friend and I took an entire night to try to figure out how to do the wiring harness, but that came out really nice also. Everything looks stock when you are done, which was our goal.

If you have any mechanical know how at all, you can figure it out. JUST BE CAREFUL AND PATIENT WITH YOUR BUMPER COVER. You need a LONG Flat screw driver, a phillips screw driver, a pair of tin snips, a pair of pliers, 8-#8 x 1" screws, 8-3/16" washers, and some loc tite (to install the fog lights in the grille), A GT Grille, a Right and a Left Fog Light (they are different), your wiring harness (however you are going to do that) and an hour or so, depending on how confident you are of yourself. Go as slow as you need to, but have patience when getting the grille in the bumper cover. It will all fit, the bumper cover is stretched a little were the clips go into the cover, but it does fit. Once the Grille is in, and the cover is over the top, you wouldn't know it isn't stock.

If you buy the Grille at a dealership you can expect to pay a minimum of $100 for the grille (I think it is $105.00 retail), and the fog lights are right at $100 each also.

Gool Luck and keep on...

If you have to change the V6 front bumper at least you can get away from Ford's stupid rectangular indentation for the license plate they keep using to screw up the looks of too many of their vehicles. Look at the new 500 and picture the front w/o that stupid hole. Ford knows how to make cars w/o that mess. Grand Marquis's have it but the Marauder was cleaned up. The Mustang GT does not have it but they made the V6 look like crap. Actually the GT has it a little where the top point sticks out a bit over the lower portion. No sense!!! PLEASE don't tell me that is for the front license plate. I know that! The issue is do you have any good reason to screw up the looks of your vehicle when you do not have to? Their sales say they should have done it better on many of their newer vehicles. Ford is not alone. It took Vette too long to stop that crap. DaimlerKryzlur came up with stow 'n go seats a year or so ago and told everyone these were "new" vehicles which they were not except for the nice floor storage but to make them seem to be new, guess what they did? Check out the new vs. the 2 year olds. Same except the new ones have the stupid rectangular indentation. DUMB!!!!!!!! DUMKOPHZ!!!

Could you please post a better picture of your install (closer)...it looks like there is about a one inch gap where the bottom of the grill meets the top of the bumper cover. I am more than a little interested in putting in the fog light grill. I just want to make sure that it has a 100% stock appearance..with no gaps or shoe-horned look

These are the pictures that I have. Because of the size restrictions they are hard to see. But if you find my site (which I can't give here) there are better picturs that can be enlarged.

Sorry still trying to figure out how things posts...here are the pictures.

The gap that you are seeing is at the top of the bumper cover, the cover curves up just slightly before it meets the grille. The GT Grille, because of the size difference sits out at the bottom so it creates a gap. Like I said in the previous post, the GT grille front follows the line of the hood and the front of the grille, so it doesn't look non stock...unless you have a GT sitting beside you, the guy that is looking at your car wouldn't notice the difference. At least this has been the case with our car. This is the only visible difference you can see.

I sell the instructions to my kit, but would be happy to sent them to interested parties that are sceptical, or still have concerns or questions.

Just let me know.

I still say we sould all complain to Ford. I have done so, and continue to ask others. Fog lights are a safety device, not just a styling statement. We should be able to buy them on any car or truck, period !!

The MAIN reason I bought the V6 was because of the "cleaner" front end design

*I* (MY opinion) do not like the wing either

I DO like the basic 17" wheels and that is why my car has them now

anyone that wants the V8 front or rear fascia just call roush or saleen they will sell you YOUR color for little money as they take them off and do not use them
