I'M THINKING ABOUT BUYING THE KIT..
I HAVE A V6 WHICH I WANT TO "UPGRADE" W/ THE FOG LAMPS... BUT, DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE TO "DRILL" A HOLE ON THE 'CONTROLS PANEL' IN ORDER TO INSTALL THE SWITCH??

KIT'S SELLER: WHERE R U LOCATED? DO YOU HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS?

THANKS

The switch is mounted under the dash. You can mount it anywhere on the driver's side of the compartment you choose. I placed my switch by my right knee, using double stick tape to mount against the console on the right and to the dash on the top of the mounting bracket. You can screw the mounting bracket in place, but I didn't want to drill or screw holes in my dash.

The web site is http://stores.ebay.com/Michelles-Corner-Internet-Store

And a direct e-mail for questions is headhuntersps@aol.com

Hope this helps,
Charlie

For those of you out that that are still skeptical about the grille swap, here is a post by "Rik" on another forum that saw it up close at the Yellow Mustang Registry Car Show this past weekend in Orlando.

I'm in Orlando, and I did get the chance to stop by the show this afternoon. Unfortunately I couldn't stay long, and wasn't able to meet Dan, but I did get a good look at his car. And it happened to be parked right next to a yellow 2005 GT, so I could make a real side-by-side comparison. The verdict? This conversion looks good. I admit I had my doubts, as I've seen such grille swaps done badly, but Charlie's method really seems to work. On the GT, the bumper is molded to accept the lower lip of the GT grille, which sort of nestles right in. The way Dan's car is done, the lip sticks out a fraction of an inch and sits above the the bumper. But you'd have to get down on your hands and knees and look at it *really* close to see this. From any normal view it looks perfectly fine. So, my apologies to Charlie for an earlier post in which I lumped him in with others who have tried to do this grille swap without taking the time to get it right.

headhuntersps thanks for all the great info. I want to do this upgrade on my V6 and at the start of this post I was a little worried. After seeing what you have been able to do i know I will not have a problem making the necessary adjustment to get it on there. Thanks again!

Hey! Looks like I have a post before I even joined this forum!

Yes, I am the one who saw Dan's car at the show, and it looks great. The conversion could have come that way from the factory, it's that convincing. If you want the GT look, this seems to be the way to go.

I, pesonally, prefer the look of smaller foglights, so i have the "Mr. Wick" conversion. It has the added bonus of being very inexpensive...in fact, it only cost me twenty bucks. Of course, I haven't hooked the lights up yet, that will run me another thirty-five.

Im undecided if Im adding the fogs or not. Charlies kit looks fine to me, 99% of the people who see it will not be able to tell the difference, screw the other 1%.

The issue Im having is those lights are so big.

Has anyone looked into the lights that came on 67/68s. Those are much smaller and have the corral around the pony which I like alot. My family had a 67 Stang for over 20 years that we bought new, I loved that car.

In the end I will most likely get the lights, I just wish they were smaller.

hey all just wanted to pass on some friendly advice or info what ever you want to call it, there is a guy on ebay in ga who has the front and rear bumper skins already painted factory, the front comes with the fog lights and grill as a package, and they are going for 475, he only has about six of them and only one of each color so if you are interested you might want to act fast.
