Breaking in...

RE: Breaking in...
OK, that doesn't sound very good... What can happen to the car if I keep driving it on this blend?
I mean, it's easier for me if something would happen to just walk in to Ford with them knowing that they recommended the oil in it.
If Ford has spent all this time on developing an engine you sure hope they know what oil to use in it!
I've always driven my vehicles on fully synthetic oils, but if Ford recommends something else, I think I'll stick with what they say.
I do appreciate all the input though.

RE: Breaking in...
You are fine for now, just go buy your oil for your next change and bring it in with you next time, along with a high performance filter. (Fram makes one, but K&N makes one as well that I think is the best) You will not hurt anything or have any negative effects from the blended oil. The fully synthetic oil will protect your motor better, especially in the heat. Not a big deal, but on your next oil change bring the synthetic in with you.

RE: Breaking in...
I changed my oil in my Mustang at 600miles, I put Motorcraft 5w-20 full synthetic, with a motorcraft filter, which is $ 2.50 a qt, compared to Mobile 1, at almost $6.00 a qt here. My owners manual says, 5w-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil (US), 5w-20 Super Premium Motor Oil (canada). There is nothing wrong with the blended oils or the standard oils, if you keep it changed. My Buick had 470,000 on it when I gave it to my brother,(and he is still driving it) and I only put 10w30 in it and changed it every 3000 miles. and the motor was never apart.
