THANK YOU! made the mod, touch the gas, and theres the great throttle response, this is a very easy modification and it only takes minutes, and well worth the time, hated that annoying hesitation..........

This may help some people that don't want to mess with the tiny wires.
I decided to fix the dead space on my 07 GT throttle since I had about 3/8 inch of travel with no engine response.
I followed Tube's advice and took the pedal assembly out and removed the 5 torx screws when I noticed the cover that holds the circuit board has slots where the screws go through it. This allows quit a bit of travel. If you push the cover forward (at the top where the plug is)as far as it will go and tighten the 5 screws, you accomplish the same thing as bending the brushes to reach fartheralong the board.
I tried thison myMustang and now it has no dead space. If you need more travel you could easily open the slots a little further.

I also want to thank Tube for finding and posting the fix for this problem otherwise I would have had no idea where to lookto fix this. Hope this helps some others. BTW the car is much smoothershifting now.

Ok couple of questions.

What do I do to test to see if I have this problem?
What will I see if I have this problem?

I have had a problem in the past when I punch it the car waits a sec before it kicks in.
This only happens with the Traction control on and not when it is off.
Is this the problem described?

Also. I have an 06 model so I am assuming I have the rev 4.
I have not seen many people with 06's chime in on this and say
if they have the same problem.... or if they just tried it and got results from it.
Can someone with an 06 chime in on this?

This is for "dead pedal space" NOT Throttle lag.

Throttle lag = punch it...delay..car goes

dead pedal = let car idle....put foot on gas pedal and slowly press down. How far do you have to push the pedal
before the rpms go up?

Many here have about a 1/4 -1/2 inch of dead pedal or "slack" in the pedal before the rpms go up. You can
even get down there and test it with your hand to get a better feel.
