Default If you have slicks. Come in.

Ok I know most dont street race but what pressure are you running. I have the stock 17's with the 275/45/17 ET Streets and anything under 27psi at 100+mph feels really unsafe. Like its moving side to side. I know there not made to handle but......

Could it be the mount and balance on them? I lost a race last night cause thses things are spinning down the track. I was at 25psi. {Left at 3500 on the bottle 125 shot}I know thats high but anything lower the car doesnt feel good. Does anyone else have this problem?

I never leave the line on the bottle but last night I did on accident.

Vortech blown with the same tire combo as you. I ran mine at 30 lbs. First burnout when the tires were brand spanking new (still had stickers) I spun them till they really smoked pretty good. Every burnout after that was spin them just till I saw the first hint of smoke and roll out of the box. Not sure if that helps or not but they hook with no wheel spin. Granted im not leaving on the same amount of TQ as you are so this may not help ...

I run M/T ET Streets 26x11.5x17 on a spare set of OEM wheels at the track. Last time I ran them at 22 PSI, and yeah, they feel squirrelly toward end of the 1/4. I'll probably play with the pressure a bit my next few times down the track.

First, I assume you havethe MT ET Street Radials, as opposed to the ET Streets which are not listed as being available in 275 size. Regardless, according to the MT website, the minimum rim width for their 275 ET Street Radial is 9". The stock size Bullitt rim is 17x8". I know many people squeeze DR's and slicks onto rims that are too narrow, and say they are OK - I disagree. Running a rim that is too narrow will cause tread bulging (driving on the center part of the tread), even at lower pressures. The tire manufacturer sets their minimum width specifications for a reason. If you do not chose to listen to what the tire company says, then don't expect the tire to perform at its best.

i think you nailed it right on the head, but yeah I have the et streets not drag, and yes theET are 275 and are squeezed onto a 17x8. They do reccomend 17x9 but people said they would be ok. Think I'm going to suck it p and buy some drag rims. .
