Filling up was a problem tonight...

RE: Filling up was a problem tonight...
I have had this happen to me once with my 2005. The front of the car was angled up when I filled up (incline). But I could get it filled up 100%. But my language was everywhere, as it took 5 minutes in the scorching texas heat to do it. A tank later I went to the same pump, but this time my nose was angled down. Pump shut down on me once, so I think it just has to do with how fast the fuel gets into the tank. And now I just fill up in one go...

mine is a 06gt and I've never had the problem
but once while filling up my moms 02 explorer at a shell station the pumps would cut off unless you pushed the nozzle in firmly
I always put the nozzle in and start it then wipe the windows

Can we all say CHRONIC? It happens frequently to me since I bought mine 3 monthsand 6500 miles ago. Like everyone said, move the nozzle, slow down on the flow rate, yada yada...

Yeah that has happened to me a number of times!! Here I was cussing at the gas pump.... I assumed I was on a hill or something. I will have to see about filling up a little bit sooner than 8 miles to E.
Moving the nozzle around didn't seem to help for me, I put in about 6 gallons and said forget it. Hope Ford corrects this problem and there is a recall or something.
