*AUDIO SYSTEM WANTED*
i currently have the shaker 500 and im looking for somthing more now. can someone give me a a all around system i should get.I have about a 1800 limit. should that be enough money.i plan on replacing everything from head unit to speakers and adding some serious bass. i will have a local shop hook it all up. but i just dont know what i should purchase.
2 kicker comp 10s" kicker 750.1 amp. no head unit. tap into one of the rear speakers and let the filter in the amp take care of it. sounds amazing cost under a grand if you install it yourself
Why does everyone automatically assume a sound system is big gangster ghetto homie bass with 28800000000000000000W amplifiers and 30" subwoofers?
What happened to good high quality low, mid, and high range sound?

I have an Alpine IVA-205 H/U, 500 watt Alpine amp, Infinity components speakers (2 ohm), I am using the the stock subs in the doors, with sub out on the amp. The whole system sounds great. I'll give more details if you want. To use the stock sub amp you have to put a voltage reg inline on the remote on wire.....

throwing in a couple subs without changing out the rest will sound like ****....the stock setup has no highs and is very muddy sounding. Replace the 4 5x7/6x8 speakers and get a different HU, any HU, and you will notice a huge improvement in sound. Then add a sub in back if you want some more bass.
You want to start at the HU all begins there. Then depending on what you are going for either coaxial speakers(cheaper, lower quality highs and mids)or components(more expensive but unmatched in sound quality). For bass you really only need one decent subwoofer and amp 3-500watts rms is plenty. The best stuff will still sound like doodoo if you don't run it through the proper wires DO NOT CHEAP ON WIRE!!!!!.
you would be suprised. the factory speakers are nice for highs. and the only reason i went with 2 10s is because i show my car, im in a show club and my trunk was the only part of the car that wasnt touched. anyway. if your not looking to spend a **** load of money for good sound then go with what i said. if you dont belive me tell me where you live. im going to canada tomorrow (driving) and if your on the way i have no problem stoping and showing it to you and letting you listen
how is a cheap paper cone for the rears with no tweeter going to give you "good" highs. The fronts are a little better but still paper and the speakers are rated at 25 watts peak also.
