Not if you keep an eye on them legs, I mean hose.
Check them every 500 miles or so.

thanks! i'm gonna try this out whenever i finally get around to cleaning my filter. i could scoop swarms of dead bugs out of the cracks, blechhhh

just tap it till dirt stops coming out.i have't oiled any of mine in 10 yrs.yrs ago k&n did dyno test and proved not to oil them.now with the touchy mas meters you don't want to oil them.after you tap out the dirt,hold it up and look at the sun there should be little to no dirt.the dirter the beter they work.

DONT USE ANY COMPRESSED AIR TO CLEAN ANY
AFTERMARKET CAI FILTER. THIS WILL DESTROY IT!
