Sorry to be so blunt, but i'm not one of those touchy feely bible pushing people who believes every human life is precious. Needless to say my kid is going to get some crappy used fwd car with just enough power to get out of its own way.

Right on bro. My oldest boy is getting my wife`s Ford Focus and my youngest is getting my Mazda Protege. Dependable and safe is all they need for a new car.

Meh, I`m gonna climb off my soap box and let this one go. I said what I wanted to say. Now let`s get back to trying to get 1,000,000 rwhp out of our 4.6`s. [8D]

ok for 1,000,000HP start with titanium everything
and get NOS + 50L S/C 100PSI + Twin Turbo
ok scrap that
get one of the jets from the "SR-71 blackbird" and mount it on your car then you might have 1 million HP
J/K the jet would crush your car and you couldn't fuel it for more than startup

I'll admit i get on it on a straight road once in awhile but only for a short distance and i don't go very fast. Just enough to feel it for a few seconds. That of course depends on if there's any traffic. I won't go fast around corners. You're just asking for trouble there.

Ford_Dude, I love titanium. A total titanium Mustang would rock like no other.

Combine that with the SR-71 ram jet and maybe we might get close to having the perfect Mustang.

to get the ram-jet effect would require more than just the engine
the shape of the plane makes it a ram-jet over mach-1 but under its a turbo-jet but still way powerful
you'd need a fuel truck to keep it running

ERIC, I'm with you with the reasoning...
Unless I missed a couple comments on that thread, I didn't hear anyone mentioning that one simple thing: LAWS OF PHYSICS.
If you're going too fast for the turn, you're not gonna make it, it's that simple. I know a couple of turns ( French Alps) where you will crash at 30mph. Doesn't matter what kind of freaking car you're in on that one! Infortunatly, top of the line handling will not buy you common sense or good judgment but it's a start.

Having said that, there's no way I'm going the speed limits all the timeeven with a kia!! (Not to be worry, you won't see me in one of those lol).
There's a way to drive fast and safeintelligently but it's rare to do so. How about 6am on sunday morning (no traffic) outside suburbs on a 6 lane hwy or flat country road? Also, driving fast doesn't necessarily mean high speed.

Only my opinion.
