Default Economy Tune

Before anyone starts with the its a performance car stuff I want to say why I'm even looking at this. Winter is coming and with the snow fall in the chicago area I was thinking of getting a economy tune to run during the winter season. My reason for looking into this is I'm worried my tunes from b@m@ will be a bit much in the snow (they are soooo much fun now though). As long as I can't rip into it I figure may as well save on gas also. Has anyone run any economy tunes? Any recommendations? Yes I know a winter beater would be nice but I don't have the space or feel like taking care of the upkeep on a second car.

Getting the tuner to wind the spark right back will take away a lot of power but it's not a good thing to run on the highway with a retarded spark as the exhaust valves can end up taking more heat on the stems due to the delayed combustion. ( I mean retarded 'as in' the opposite of advanced as oppossed to retarded 'like Ricers')

The best way is to pedal it the whole Winter
