Alarm
Folks, ya been so much help in the past for me I was just sitting here thinking & thought I'd throw this to ya & get an opinion. When I bought my 05-GT a few months ago I think it has an aftermarket alarm in it. It has a siren under the hood on the firewall & it says "CA-400, 0902 Super Siren" on it. Theres a little red LED by my right knee down on the dash & this lil red light blinks 3 times every 3 seconds 24/7. I cant get the light to turn off no matter what I do. When setting the factory alarm the extreior lights blink & the horn sounds like the owners manual says & I tried everything I know to with the Ford remote to activate this siren job but nothing. I've had the siren go off once a month or so ago for some reason I cant remember & the headlights & regular Ford alarm went off to. I cant remember what I did to activate the alarm but I hit the red button on the Ford remote & turned off the alarm but the red LED light by my knee has blinked ever since. I tried hitting all the buttons on the remote, activating & deactivating the factory alarm everything I can think of short of cutting the 2 wires to that little red LED. Thought of going to a alarm shop & find out what this thing is but thought first I ask here. I even dis-conected the negitive battery terminal for a couple min. but the LED light down by my kneestill blinks all the time when I hooked the battery back up.Any thoughts??? Thanks
No thoughts except have it professionally RIPPED OUT.
Yet another reason NOT to install an aftermarket in a stang.
The next owner never gets the instructions or remote.
YUCK, someone F^cked up your ride and then sold
it to you. Expect problems down the road.

If you bought the car new it might have a dealer installed alarm. They aren't that bad to take out as long as they were installed properly. If taking it out you'll have to find something to plug the hole for the LED light with.
ORIGINAL: PROMETHEUS PRIME

makes me think its aftermarket. And "I've had the siren go off once a month or so ago for some reason I cant remember " makes me think it is improperly installed.
My 3 cents worth. Professionally remove that puppy.
