Paint bubble, advice?

RE: Paint bubble, advice?
I had the same issue with my shelbygt500. I took it to the dealer but decided not to have them repaint as it probably wont be perfect and it'll end uplooking worse. Furthermore, if i ever sell it the next owner will see it was repainted and won't believe it was for a small defect like that.

That would be about the easiest section on the car to repaint and way easy match in black; make sure the other side is perfect; if not get both redone. Tell them to besure they mask off the entire car for this repair. (You don't want excess paint and clear that is airborn landing anywhere else on or in your car)

appointment set for next monday, they should have it for a couple of days.
They have to send it to a body shop, this dealer doesnt work with paint. Fingers crossed...

I had a bubble on my passenger side rear quarter, took it to the dealer and got it rapinted now problems. Later on there was bubbling on my hood took it to the dealer no problem. There is actually a proble with the alluminum corroding (bubbles) on some ford vehicles including mustangs. If you ever have a defect in the paint from factory take it to dealership and get it painted!! (for free that is)

I had paint bubbling on the hood and had the dealer fix it. I was very happy with their work. Only problem is my warranty is up in November, if it happensagain I have to pay for it myself...SOB!!! I took mine to a dealer in Western PA.

see thats what i think is B.S. Im not a paint expert but its a factory problem, it should be covered reguardless of warranty status. At least stand by the product for a little more than the standard 3-5 years. Cause thats what most people want to do, get a paint job right after they finish paying off their car.

I argued with the service manager. I said how can you close the warranty out if there is an obvious, and now documented problem. Since getting the hood fixed I have 2 new spots on the quarters. They weren't there a weak ago.
I think alot of people here have issues with the factory paint on their cars.
