ok, possibly a dumb question. do saleen superchargers whine like the snail chargers do? i need to know because i dont like that noise, if they dont then i think i might want one.

 

The whine is the best noise I have ever heard.
I am pretty sure it does. I always thought the snail chargers whistled like turbos? I am assuming your talking about like Procharger, Paxton and Vortech. I have never actually heard one in real life just the whipple, saleen, and roush.

 

I don't have a Saleen, but I have had a ride in one, you can hear the whine. To me, it's not as loud as the Whipple or the Roush, which are the only other two I have heard. I will be installing a Whipple soon, and I can't wait to hear the whine........

 

Vortech and paxton dont whine, only the procharger does. Saleen is pretty quite though. Just go to youtube and listen to some vids

 

No personal experience but if you go to www.brenspeed.com they have a video of a saleen doing a dyno run and it sounded pretty loud ...

 

Saleen Is one of te quietest blowers I've ever heard. I can barely hear it under WOT. Are you sure that the CAI and exhaust is secured tighly? I have minimal whine under WOT.
