Default Not another Adaptive Learning Question...

Nooooooooooo!

Well, actually, yeah! I'm not sure if "adaptive learning" is the correct buzzword to use or not, but that's how it was referenced in a recent post, and you guys and gals know what I'm talking about.

My high-level question is: What all can the adaptive learning effect?

I know on A/T cars it can change shift points and, probably, even change how snappy/sporty or "lazy" the shift is, depending on the driver's habits. But what else? I have a M/T so the example above doesn't affect me, but is anything else affecting me? If so, what?

Finally, to clear the "learned behavior", you just disconnect the battery for a minute or two and then hook it back up, correct?

Thanks everyone!
Cheers!

It mainly alters fueling basically. If you heavy-foot it all the time, the mix richens up and vice-versa. That's why townies moan all the time about their rides feeling sluggish on the one time a month they get a chance to boot it, it's too lean. It massages the spark curve a little as well.
