Satellite Radio anyone?

RE: Satellite Radio anyone?
Thanks for the response all. I just got off Circuit City's web site and they are out of stock of the unit I need to match up to my Pioneer HU. I can order it with free shipping, but I would rather pick it up at the store. If they don't get a supply in soon I will order on line. Again thanks for the responses and they were all positive, so looks like I am going to go with Sirus.

RE: Satellite Radio anyone?
if your looking for reception quality #1 i believe there is a site that compares the two..
the jist i got was that if you are in a fairly open area (no trees/tall buildings) sirius is the way to go
But if you are in the city or lots of trees xm is the way to go..
it has to do with their satallites placement in orbit
In terms of programming it stated that sirius has a more limited playlist so you will hear the same songs more frequently but will all be strictly of the same type of music by channel. Where as xm has a huge playlist and you may hear more variety as well as never before heard (on regular radio) which can be a good/bad thing.
sports n news i dont know i didnt pay attention to that part lol
If i can find the site i will post it for you...
There is a site that tells you most played tunes for sirius- Dogstarradio.com
I havent had any problems, a few blips here and there. Especially when driving thru tunnels or really wooded areas but it comes back fast. Sirius should have sent a letter to all owners who had it free for 6 months about 2 months into ownership, they give you a discount rate to continue it for the rest of the year. If you havent recieved your letter you can call up sirius with your vin# and they can hook you up over the phone
