The Panhard rod should have included two elbow grease fittings instead of one elbow and one straight. It doesn't matter which way the rod is oriented, that straight fitting it going to be difficult or impossible to get the grease gun on.

Why doesn't the O/R pipe come with mil eliminators? This is just another example of having to buy a part to make another part work properly.

Installing the springs was easy (the rear only). I had seen TacoBill's install guide, so I already knew what had to be done. There were no instructions telling the orientation of the spring. I had to get that from MF posts. I'm like, Come on, Roush! Give me something! If nothing else, give me a paper saying "Here are springs." Same with the shocks.

I'm wondering if Brenspeed gave me an old shifter with problems. Did Hurst ever fix any design flaws in the Comp Plus shifter since 2005? My instructions were wrong also, you remember? I checked the date and it was 5/05. I'm finding it hard to believe Brenspeed sold me a 2 year old shifter. Maybe Brent can send me a replacement.

Yes, it is called "modifications", but what are we modifying....the car, or the parts we buy to modify the car?

I shouldn't have to "make my parts work". My parts should be working properly right out of the box!!! What am I paying for??? I could sell someone an iron rod, calling it a Panhard rod......oh, and by the way, you'll need to drill holes in the ends and buy poly bushings to "make it work". That's just dumb.

You would think the chin spoiler would be a straightforward process, but when the factory holes don't match the chin spoiler holes, and the shapes of the meeting surfaces don't match, it must be the fault of the designer....either the car designer or the spoiler designer.

The reason I listed the mods with no problems is so that this wouldn't be a blanket statement. Some mods are great, and I can highly recommend....as well as the companies producing the parts. However, when a part does not do what it is supposed to do, or has bad directions, or no directions, or obvious problems, I get a little angry.

I'm not directing this rage or any of my sarcasm toward anyone on here directly. I'm just a person who likes things done right, and who expects to get quality parts that work properly without the need of adjustments/modifications/add-ons.

17. New Gears (4.10, 3.73, ...etc)-----Oh wow, these FRPP gears are only $250! Oh, wait! What's this installation kit for $150? Will I need that? I wonder what else I will need to make this part installable and workable...????

I ran into that problem too. The guy that was doing theinstall called me at work that day and said, "Guess what you need."

I have no clue what you are talking about here.

You have the panhard picture here:

There is not drilling required??? The zerk fittings should be already in there. It was complete bolt on me for, less than an hour to take old one out and put new one in and grease. And if yours didnt have poly bushings i would be wanting my money back!!

And the the zerk fitting that points down is easy to get to right here as shown in the circle. There is nothing in the way??

Greasing my suspension takes all of 10 minutes, I have atleast 7 of them, and that would include jacking the rear up.

Im sorry but I am just trying to wonder why you seem to be having these problems...

The only mod I have had problems with so far are the cams...There really is no PROBLEM just an annoying noise because of the beefier springs I hear the tapping. I just don't think a new engine should sound like that. I was told there would be a "lil" extra noise so I guess I shouldn't complain because I was given fair warning before install.[:@]

if mils came with the o/r pipe it would cost more than they already do.

With my long tubes I had to cut some off of the factory studs so they would fit the long tubes.

Then my buddy got some parts from LFP that didnt fit his cobra at all. To get a bracket to fit he would of seriously had to cut hlaf of the bracket off himself with a torch.

As far as having to do some extra prep work to get the mod to fit your car I think its BS. But things like the mils or caster/camber plates with springs its not that big of a deal to me.

Hey, Warmachine man, you have the same problem with your mods that I have with computers[&:]

I have about $8000 with the mods on my car and none of them are giving me one bit of problems. I did go back to my Hurst shifter and torque the hell out of those 2 bolts that holds the handle (I even put nuts at the other ends). That's it, 8K later.

Now, I get frustrated with computers because there'are too many things that I don't understand about themand sadly, never will. Although I'll never bust a knuckle playing with them (or will I?), I rather work on cars. Moddin' that is

howarmat, I was making a joke about a Panhard rod with no holes or bushings. It was a jab at aftermarket parts and the modifications they sometimes require to work properly

The Panhard rod installs just fine. Look at the picture of the bracket you circled. Remember that when the rod is in with the bolt and nut attached, there is a metal nut-stop that sticks out and bends at a right angle right into the space where the grease fitting is. It blocks the grease gun from getting to it unless you bend it out or something. Here are two pics.

Did you install a 90 degree fitting for that side also? And do you use a flexible grease gun hose?

It only has that one elbow grease fitting. The other one is straight, and is unreachable on either side. The hose for the grease gun is flexible, but the tip is about 2 inches long and is not flexible and will not fit in that small space. BMR should have put two elbow fittings instead of the one.
