I have been having some problems occasionally getting a good 2 wheel burnout. I don't know if my clutch packs are getting worn or if I'm doing something wrong. My question is for people who regularly drag race their car and do a good smokey burnout before. Do you have or had the same problem and if so, what are your plans to fix it. I know Ford has clutch packs that have carbon fiber strips on them for better grip. I am considering having these installed when I have my gears installed next spring. Another option is to get a locker installed (air or electronic). If you have a locker, do you feel the expense was worth it? Also, which locker do you have?

What about a Detroit Tru Trac, more street friendly & great hook ups. Spyder runs one & his GT is in the low 12's NA.

I'll look into that too. I like the Auburn because you can switch it off and have an open diff. Is the Trutrac like this?
