well i have searching around the net lately looking at the mustang gt andshelby gt500 specs. mostly 0-60 times. when i came across this on the ford website if u read on the right side it says the mustang gt can go 0-60 in 4.9 secs. and when i checked the cars.com website it say the gt500 does it in 4.7 while the mustang gt does it in 5.8. who is right? does ford mean the gt500 car on the site cause u cetainly cant build one on there. and how much does the gt500 actually put to the wheels?

Most places i've seen have the GT in the 5.1 range. I would guess the GT500 numbers are close.

 

u would think for 200 mor HP u would gain alot more.

 

Well the GT500 weighs 400lbs more then the GT. But the GT500 is probably a little quicker then that. Probably done in the 4.6 range.

 

Unless your a good drive 5.5 is about normal for what you would expect. 4.9 is doable on a GT if your a great driver. 95% of people do not fit in this catergory especially if they drive a stock auto.

 

0-60 times are useless as far as I'm concerned. I mean who races 0-60, and how would you measure it? The 1/4 mile is what tells the tale.
