FRPP are exponentially better in quality and fitment than Motive. The only use for a Motive gear is the 3.90 for an automatic that doesn't want to go all the way to 4.10, and even then I usually recommend against it. [&:]
Motive do make FRPP gears so its the same thing, I bought FRPP gears and they do whine a bit at certain speeds.
Any audible whine from an FRPP gear of 4.10 or higher gearing (3.73, 3.55, 3.31, etc) is due to improper installation OR damaged parts. I've dealt with 4.30s and 4.56s and had zero whine as well, but those are known to make it occasionally because of how steep the bevels are on the ring and pinion.

My FRPP 4:10s are Motive too!! No problems so far and just a tad bit of whine but nothing to really complain about. I think if they're installed right you should be good!!!!

I would like to know because I was going to get some 3.73s or 4.10s.
