Default Ford Racing Shorty Header Gains?

A co-worker that I know is considering buy the ford racing shorty headers for his 06 mustang. Do they make a big difference sound wise? and what kind of hp gains can you expect, I'm guessing not much. Any input would be great

Tell him long tubes are where its at. Shorties won't do much if anything at all.

I was told by my tuner that shorties aren't gonna make too much of a difference and if I want headers go with the longtubes. Now I just need to save up for a set.

Ford racing shorty headers probably 1-2hp. Too much work and too much for the headers.

I don't have the Ford Shorties, But I do have the JBA's along with, the FRPP X-Pipe, and JBA Axle Backs. I'm satisfied with the gains I got with these mods, and they do sound nice. What I like most about it, is this setup retains the cats in their stock location, so there are no issues when getting inspected. Ask Moses05GT, what he thinks about his Shorties.

Shortys aren't bad, but consider the stock manifolds are fine to begin with. Hey, theres nothing wrong with having a car that was designed fairly well! You'll need a bigger modification to net gains, in this case longtubes.
