I don't need to say this to make myself feel better. You wanna know why? I got an absolute kick A$$ car for $12,500, thats right, no typo. I guarentee I probably paid the least for my 05 Stang of anyone on this board. Factor in the fact that I'm 18 and I've been washing carts every summer at the local golf course for close to minimum wage and I could care less about your V8, because I'm only paying $1560 a year for insurance and only spending $25 every week to get me to and from school. To me my Mustang is the physical symbol of all the hard work and all the money I've saved up for 18 years of my existence on this Earth, and its as beautiful a symbol I could ever dream of.
I guess I'm just having a hard time understanding why V8 owners need to completely bash owners of 6ers. Do they need to make up for something else they lack? Insecurity? Youth? Something else? I can't answer that. Sure, "its a V8," but its not like us "sixers" driving around Toyota Corollas, although most people here think we are.

Does it make you feel much better to say that? Many people who have v6's know their not v8's, does that mean they can't make them look good? It's still a mustang, and it's still the best damn looking car on the street, for the most part. And besides, without those "just v6's" selling as much as they do, there would be no v8's or any mustangs.

Besides, you can make your 6 banger fast enough to spank him. That 4.0 can go in the 10s.

You should be proud of what you've accomplished and proud of your Mustang as well. I've been a Ford and Mustang guy for a long time and I like and enjoy ALL Mustangs. My gripe is with Ford constantly selling these decal and scoop packages for 15% of the base price of the car trying to make them something they're not. It's just like when the factory put "Cobra" decals all over the Mustang II's in the late 70's. They weren't Cobras in any way, shape, or form (well except for that big a** decal on the hood). Enjoy your ride, it's a great car and one to be proud of.

If the difference in price between a new V6 and a V8 is about $5,000, right? Less so if you're talking a one year old V8 and a new V6. Why in world would anyone purchase an appearence package for $2,600? The mark up is huge on this kit.

There is so much aftermarket stuff available that you've got to take advantage of it.
You'll always beat Ford, Roush and the rest of the gang if you built the car yourself, even if you have to rely on a shop for some of it.

ford should slap on a CAI, Tune, and duals, if its such a great looking car to start with then why are they doing exterior accessory kits. performance all the way!
ummm...just think about it. Its all about business and always will be about business. If there is a Mustang that is about the same power as the GT but a lot cheaper...what are you going to get? If not then you are a moron and dont know how to manage your money and will be or are in bankrupt.
oh and kngdaka I know how you feel man....I'm the same age as you...but every now and then you just get a couple of idiots like that...you just have to let them be.

First off, some people don't plan on keeping their V-6 Mustang forever. The factory appearance package will make their car worth more than if you cherry picked those parts and installed them yourself!
Second, in case you haven't noticed the price of oil is near an all time high! Gas prices will go through the roof this coming spring/summer!
Not a great idea to compare a used V-8 to a new V-6.

Looks nice, but I have to agree... way to expensive. Why is it that the GT appearance package is only $275 or so yet the V6 appearance package is over two grand? Just doesn't make sense. Yeah, you get that vinyl decal, and some rims that aren't even worth a grand. So the "upgraded" floor mats, billet grille,and $50 chrome exhaust cover make up for the rest of the price? Give me a break.

Anyway, something about this seems fishy. The first line of Ordering requirements looks like something weird too. Like... Timings 2008 MY Job !! - Lol...
The lip looks like the CDC v6 chin spoiler, too. lol. Either way, fact or fiction it's a pretty nice looking sixer.

most of the time (not pointing anyone out) its the guys with the small ***** and NEED the bigger lights, bigger engine, 2 extra cyl's, to make up for their......little fella.....who always bash the v6.
I think the package looks nice. not worth that much but maybe 1 grand is more like it (you figure 600 for wheels, 100 for the grille, 200 for the chin spoiler, 100 for stripes).
