Tire pressure monitor fault?
This sign has been showing on my dash since i exchanged my stock aluminum rims with some bullits. Went to the dealership and they said this isnt a major problem and they'll get it fixed in my next service. I was still concerned after the dealership visit so i went to check my tire pressure and was surprised that 3 of them were at 40 and one at 23 psi! So i made them all 32 psi since thats whats the sticker from the inside door states. The sign didnt go of.
My car is loosing too much traction these days and i dont know if its from the tune+jlt i recetly installed (first mod) or from my tire.
Note: I exchanged my stock wheels and rims with a guys stock california special wheels and rims.

I had mine changed to the 18"chrome rims from the '08 pony. I get the same problem.
The new ones have the sensors. I have been getting it off and on since I got them.
Checked tires and they are not low. Someone told me last week to un do the battery for
a few seconds and that will fix it. Haven't talked husband into ACTUALLY doing it yet
Dropping it off at the dealer tonight for that, and some other stuff.....

If you swapped wheels with someone you have to go back to the dealership and have the computer learn the new sensors. They run off RFID I believe. From what I have read on here it takes five mins.

Cool. I'm gonna have the dealer do it. Now.......Am I crazy or
what... When I come home and open the garage door I get the code come up
on the dash. I have already turned it off. Is it somehow reading the old
sensors from the tires in the garage? Is it possible seeing they are not on the car?

Its possible I dont know what the range is on the sensor. I bet if you bring all 4 close to the car it would go out. Some people I have heard put the sensors in a pressurized tube in the trunk and dont run them in the tires. Sounds a little extreme to me but I know if you buy rims without the sensor and bands they cost a few bucks to buy new ones.
I have stock 17" wheels right now but plan on switching to 18x9.5 or 18x10 in the future. I was going to try and get some stock 18' sensors and bands. I hope to find someone on here and get them cheap when the time comes. S/C first.
Good luck.
