Ordered the 4.10s
Well i finally decided to just order the 4.10s, hopefully they will make it in by this weekend so i can get them installed. I CANT WAIT... but im depressed at the same time because i know i have to break them in. How long should i wait to floor it and feel the difference. snfkdhg blahhhhh

To floor it and feel the difference, you can do it the same day.
but to begin and beat the living **** out of you car with the new gears.. I would wait like 500 or 800 miles...

The guy who did mine said that they did the break in on the jackstands by letting the wheels turn a while and heat up the parts, then let it cool for 30 minutes several times.
I asked him if I should take it easy for a while and he said "No, it's time to have fun"
I still took it easy for about 200 miles though. The instructions said it required a break in period but they didn't say any more than that.

Just take it easy for the first couple of days, make sure you don't have ANY whine issues. After three or four heat cycles........you should be good to ......

I think the rule is drive for 10 miles, let cool. Do that three times and you should be good. You will probably get some whine from them, but no need to worry unless it gets real loud.
