I had this happen to me, but it started up right away, then wanted to die, couldn't keep an idle. several other people in 4.0 had a similar situation as mine. I have yet to hear a solution though. Mine, I'm pretty sure, was a bad tank of gas cuz it started doing it speratically right after I filled up with gas, but it hasn't done it since that tank of gas. Weird.

But seriously, it sounds like you have the alternator problem that I think was common in the '05's

I think alternarot problems are common with a majority of fords, had a F-150 for a while and everything lasted 150,000 miles (even the clutch) but the alternator died at like 50,000 miles heard some others had some alternator problems w/their fords
