Hey all, Im currently looking to purchase a 05 mustang, but was just curious on the 2005 Saleen S281 E. I really like the looks of the saleen version and wanted to know if the saleen versions are reliable, and if any1 has had any problems with them. Or if the Saleen body kit they offer at california mustang is any good. Any help would be great

If I had the money I would love to purchase a Saleen. With the 20 inch tires and 400 plus horsepower there would be no question which one I would own. As far a realibility who knows thats what warrantys are for.

I agree, went to the link, these cars are awesome. I have heard they are limited production, good for high resale, hard to get??

The E cars have been very reliable since they were introduced in 02. No major problems existed, and I expect even less for the 05's. The 05 E car will be one hell of a car.

KK thanks, yea i think ill just go with the saleen e model.........quick question though are the saleen body kits at www.cal-mustang.com made by saleen and do they fit nicley....jw thanks all

Did I read/hear here in MF that the 05's are all ready all spoken for ??? Or, does Saleen do a huge volume ?? Curious because if my Harley sells by May, I may sell my 05 GT 5spd, and go Saleen S/C. I almost bought an 05 C6 Vette, but felt it wasn't quite where I would want to be for $54K, a Saleen seems like a product that warrants that price.

The 05 E cars are basicly all spoken for, but the standard s/c ones are still get-able. The first s/c models will appear here very shortly, within a month.

They have Saleens here in Charleston. At Palmetto Ford to be exact. They are running for about 48 to 50 Ks'. They are tough!!!!

Does the Saleen have 325 horsepower so the dealer saids, or more , I thought it was more like 400 hp plus.
